On May 1st, 2019 after my inaugural year in the world of crypto, I wrote the article ‘Is it really possible to become a Sports Crypto-Gamer?’
Amazingly, since then, the world has started to discover, explore, go crazy and fall in love with NFTs and I’m thrilled to now share that I’ve taken a giant step towards achieving this ambition.
For those that have followed my journey, I’ve kept my focus squarely on playing one game during this time: Sorare
My two year labour of love with the game and community has allowed me to develop invaluable trade relationships and has set me up to utilise my collection to a level where:
- I compete consistently for all major prizes across Sorare bi-weekly tournaments
- Its value is set to benefit dramatically as the game scales from thousands to hundreds of thousands of users.
Whilst I’m immensely proud of my unrivalled 450+ first edition cards and S05 tournament record, I am now seeking to be part of something even bigger as we enter a defining era for NFTs.
LFC Blockchain joins BlackPool
BlackPool is a new DAO operating within the NFT industry: partnering with managers to collect and use a range of assets from sports cards to game items to digital art.
The BlackPool DAO has already attracted leading managers from a number of the most popular games in the NFT world: Axie, Decentraland, Hashmasks, Cometh, Sorare and a variety of other art/music NFTs.
Today, I am delighted to join these pioneers with my Sorare collection and officially become part of the BlackPool family!

The primary motivation behind my decision is that it enables me to diversify my interests into a broader range of NFT assets. This collaboration will allow others to benefit from my future success in Sorare whilst I’m now positioned to prosper from the growth generated across all of the BlackPool DAO verticals.
On a day to day basis, I’ll continue to manage, trade and compete as I always do (and I plan to be as unrelenting as ever!) but you’ll mostly find me hanging out in the BlackPool Discord channel.

Having dedicated considerable time and energy into helping build the early foundations of the Sorare Community which I hold dear to me, the time is now right to retire myself as an Ambassador in their Discord channel.
With Dan now officially at the helm and the recent appointment of more senior gamers to help perform Ambassadorial duties, support in more languages and timezones is in place to help the next generation of managers enhance their Sorare experience.
Please expect me to continue chiming in with my opinion on all the major talking points as the game evolves as well as a healthy dose of banter, championing the future success of Sorare on twitter and promoting the increasingly popular weekly Sorare Podcast!
There are so many people I’d like to thank and mention without whom this new chapter for me would not be possible. Nicolas, Adrien and the incredible team they’ve built in Paris and all of those that share, confide, commiserate and celebrate the beautiful game we call Sorare. You know who you are and thank you!
